Jill Johnson
Photographer
Celebrated for her sense of fun, her discriminating eye for detail and her insight into vanishing small-town Texas, Jill Johnson honors her childhood memories with these images through a Hasselblad lens. For more than a decade, she was an award-winning photographer for the Fort Worth Star Telegram. Currently a Fort Worth-based freelance photographer, Jill specializes in capturing details of landscapes, portraiture, travel, and animals. Born in Muleshoe and raised in Houston, Johnson spent summers working on the family farms in Bushland and Muleshoe, two little specks on the map that loomed large in her life. It was here she developed a love for capturing moments in time forever on film. A sign, a scene, a setting. A small-town corner of the way it was, held hostage as time keeps marching on. In every image she manages to create a sense of color and balance and play. Wit and whimsy with a wink that acknowledges the only thing that stays the same is the backdrop. The land, the buildings, the things that all anchor us to this wild and crazy place called Earth, and even more specifically, Texas. The irony of her still images? They move you…to remember where we’ve been while keeping an ever-watchful eye on where we’re headed.

Scotty Anderson
Designer, artist, musician, and convertible enthusiast
Scotty is a local artist, musician, graphic artist, teacher, writer and (when the weather cooperates) someone who loves top-down driving. For two decades or so, he has been a freelance graphic artist and occasional teacher at TCU. Scotty was born in Pennsylvania and grew up in Breckenridge before moving to Texas somewhere around 1979. Around town, you can find his logos and websites with lots of local businesses, including this one. As a musician, he plays jazz in a trio with two friends from Paschal, releases the occasional post-rock and ambient track, and even played bass in the TV series 1883.
Is it really that obvious he has ADHD?
